Soul - Life Groups
A Life Group is a gathering of about 10 adults, in a safe, predictable, living room environment where friendships are fostered, and life-change, life-application of the previous week’s teaching is the focus. A consistent, regular group of friends meeting regularly once a week to live in accountability and relationship.
A TYPICAL LIFE GROUP MEETING:
Some groups meet for dinner before group starts. Typically groups will pray, share about their week, their insights from the sermon, and stuff happening in life. Most groups run 60 – 90 minutes weekly.
The third step in our connecting & discipleship process touches the soul.
The core of the Christian life isn’t the acquisition of knowledge – it’s about a journey with friends that touches every part of our life. We believe that lasting life change happens in the context of community, not in isolation.
Life Groups consist of about 10 of your peers who meet once a week in living rooms all over town. The focus is not on learning new information, but rather on life application – finding ways to live out the truth of God’s Word presented in the previous week’s sermon in the context of a safe, trusted group of adults. Life is shared and friendships are made as we journey together in our faith.
If you’re interested in taking a step into a Life Group, or just want more information, let us know on the tear-off portion of your bulletin, call the church office (330.494.2375) or send an email office@tnbnazarene.org
Three Ways to Step Into a LifeGroup
I. LET US HELP. Contact the church office and let us know you’re interested. We’ll immediately write or call you back in order to start a dialogue where we find out about your interests, questions, hopes and concerns. No commitment or obligation – just check in with us to get your questions answered and see what’s out there!
II. DO IT YOURSELF.Get together a group of 6-10 interested adults who are not currently participating in a Life Group, and talk to the church office so we can resources you with getting started tools.
III. ASK A FRIEND. Maybe you know some folk who are in a Life Group. Talk to them and see if there is any room in their group. Occasionally groups get large and split into two smaller groups, or sometimes a group has an opening.
